General Information
LBI is a ministry of Lighthouse Baptist Church. We believe there is a great need to train the men and women of Lighthouse Baptist Church. We also recognize there are Christians in the nearby area that could benefit from a local Bible institute. Lastly, we believe there are people all across the US that cannot relocate or prefer live classes. We believe this is where LBI fits into the equation. We want to offer a live hybrid Bible Believing Institute. Another reason for offering a hybrid institute is to allow individuals to stay and serve at their local church while attending live institute classes.
Cost
Our desire is to make LBI affordable, yet valuable. Oftentimes when things are free, people fail to properly value them or put in the work. We hope paying a small tuition will encourage students to take their classes seriously. Secondly, it is my desire as the Pastor to help support the teachers of LBI financially. Tuition
Each class costs $30 and the proceeds help support the teachers. We strongly believe the labourer is worthy of his hire. All the teachers have sacrificed themselves and are graduates of Bible institutes. Your tuition makes it possible to help support them as they strive to do what God has called them to do. All payments must be done online and are due before the first day of class.
Registration Fee
There is a one time non-refundable registration fee of $50. This fee will be used to cover the cost of running the institute. This includes hosting the website, streaming the classes, upgrading and buying new computer gear as needed.
Graduation
Students must have an average of C- (70%) or better to graduate. All gradation ceremonies will be held during the Annual Awake Bible Conference. The conference always starts on the last Monday of June.
Tuesday & WEDNESDAY night
Hybrid
Most classes will be in person and streamed live online. All students are expected to attend either in person or live online. There can be exceptions on a case-by-case basis. One example of this is for mothers who are unable to attend because of their responsibilities at home. They will be given access to the recorded classes, but must stay on the same schedule as the in person and live stream classes. Once you are enrolled in a class you will receive an email from your instructor with instructions on how to log in the the live classes.
Hardware Needed
All students who take live classes online must have a computer with a camera and microphone or a cell phone with a camera and microphone. It is our desire to make the live online experience as close to being in person as possible. Depending on the class and the instructor students are expected to be able to interact if needed. Students must also have dependable internet access so that they can interact and watch the classes live.
